Malia Erena Tafua is a cultural advocate, teacher,
and artist of Tahitian, French, Hawaiian, and Chinese descent. She
is the second eldest child of Alex and Tanya Tekurio, founders of
Hitia O Te Ra Productions, and was raised in a home immersed in
music, drumming, and dance. Her cultural foundation is rooted in
the legacy of her parents; as well as her Aunty Erena Mapuhi Pito,
